BCPL Railway Infrastructure has won an order worth Rs 71 crore towards the execution of an upgradation of electric traction system project in Kharagpur-Bhadrak section of Kharagpur Division of South Eastern Railway under Rail Vikas Nigam.
The work involves the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of an upgraded electric traction system from 1×25 kV to 2×25 kV for Kharagpur-Bhadrak section of Kharagpur Division of South Eastern Railway. This enhancement will support a 3,000 MT loading target. It will enable the safe running of trains at an augmented speed of 160 km per hour. The project needs to be executed over a period of 16 months.
