Southern Railway has announced changes in the timings of five special trains connecting Madurai and the southern districts of Tamil Nadu, from the first week of November.
Train No 06655 Madurai – Rameswaram special has been preponed by 10 to 22 minutes from Manamadurai to Pamban stations, from November 4.
Train No 06730 Punalur – Madurai special will leave Virudhunagar 15 minutes earlier at 3 am from November 1. Train No 06101 Chennai – Kollam special will depart from Dindigul and Madurai at 11.05 pm and 12.15 am respectively from November 1, instead of at 11.40 pm and 12.45 am.
In the return direction, Train No 06102 Kollam – Chennai special will leave Dindigul at 8.10 pm. Train No 08496 Bhubaneshwar – Rameswaram will have changes in timing from Trichy to Ramanathapuram, from November 4. The departure has been advanced by 10 minutes in Trichy and Pudukottai and by 30 to 40 minutes from Karaikudi to Ramanathapuram.
