A trial run of the Vande Bharat train was successfully conducted on the Ahmedabad–Bhuj route on Sunday. The train completed the journey from Ahmedabad to Gandhidham in four hours and covered the distance from Gandhidham to Bhuj in one hour.
During the trial, the train moved at the speed of up to 110 km/h, according to Gandhidham’s Chief Loco Inspector, RB Kashyap. This marks a significant improvement over the usual travel time of six and a half hours between Ahmedabad and Bhuj. The train is expected to save nearly one and half hours for the passengers.
The Vande Bharat train is a fully air-conditioned train equipped with state-of-the-art features, including automatic doors, LED displays, a digital route indicator among others.
