BJP MP Anil Baluni highlighted the achievements of the Indian Railways over the last decade in the Lok Sabha. He mentioned the construction of 5,000 km of railway lines in a year, increased budget allocation, and the introduction of Vande Bharat and Jan Shatabdi trains, dubbing it a ‘golden period’ for the sector.
In a recent Lok Sabha session, BJP MP from Garhwal, Anil Baluni, praised the achievements of the Indian Railways over the past decade, terming it a ‘golden period.’ Baluni emphasized that around 5,000 km of railway lines were constructed in the last year alone.
He noted that many previously inaccessible areas now have railway connectivity, and the average speed of trains has improved to 80 km/h during this unprecedented period.
Baluni also highlighted the increased budget allocation compared to the previous UPA regime and lauded the introduction of new train services like Vande Bharat and Jan Shatabdi.
