Coaches built on Link Hoffmann Busch (LHB) technology will be installed in 25 trains of North Eastern Railway over the next two years. These coaches are very comfortable and they are well designed. North Eastern Railway has taken this decision in view of repeated train accidents. The specialty of this LHB coach is that even in a head-on collision, one coach does not run over another coach, resulting in less loss of life and money. Currently, North Eastern Railway has 85 LHB coach rakes available for 61 pairs of trains.
LHB coaches will be installed in almost all trains of North Eastern Railway. This coach train can normally run at a speed of 160 km per hour. It can be increased up to 200 km per hour. But it has been tested at a speed of 180 kmph. Its internal structure is such that train passengers feel less shock. The design of LHB coaches is more contemporary than normal coaches, which improves the speed and performance of the train. LHB coaches have a lighter structure, which reduces the overall weight of the train and improves energy efficiency.

CPRO Pankaj Singh said that the work of strengthening the infrastructure of North Eastern Railway is going on at a fast pace. Along with laying new routes, the work of updating the old routes is also underway. Soon all trains will be fitted with LHB coaches. So that the journey of the passengers can be made more luxurious and safe.
