New Delhi: The passengers travelling in Rajdhani Express can experience a new era of convenience aboard the premium train of Indian Railways. The Railways has introduced a trial push-button service in the second AC coach of Rajdhan Express which enables a traveller to just press the button and enjoy instant linen and cleaning services.

The Indian Railways has introduced the trial push button service on one Rajdhani Express’ second AC coach. Passengers can call instantly for linen and cleaning services by pressing the button. The system sends train, coach, seat details to Rail Madad and OBHS staff (On-board housekeeping staff) for prompt assistance. After successful trials, this service will be introduced in all Rajdhani Express trains.

Notably, the push button service has been introduced in Second AC Class of Rajdhani Express.

For enhancing travel experience for passengers, the Indian Railways started to run Rajdhani Express trains with new upgraded Tejas Rakes in 2021.

Rajdhani Express is the oldest and most popular superfast trains that was started in 1969. Rajdhani Express connects the country’s capital New Delhi to state capitals and several cities.

Modi Govt transforming Indian Railways

The Modi government has taken several initiatives to modernise the Indian Railways infrastructure, that include, Vande Bharat Express, Vande Metro, introduction of semi-high speed trains like Vande Bharat Express, Tejas Express, and Humsafar Express.

Besides the above-mentioned Railway projects, the government has set an ambitious plan of redevelopment of over 1000 Railway Stations across the country and the construction of 100,000 km of new railway track. Railways has remained the preferred mode of transport for people across the country.

Keeping this aspect in view. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasised the importance of providing world-class amenities at railway stations and launched the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme to redevelop 1309 stations nationwide.
