Indian Railways, under the plan to modernize several railway stations in the country, has decided to redevelop Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad Railway Station. The Railways ministry, on Saturday, shared some pictures of the proposed design of the to-be redeveloped Ghaziabad Railway Station.
The railway station is being planned to be redeveloped at the cost of Rs 550 crore with multiple changes across the campus to make it modern.
Ghaziabad’s railway station building will be magnificent, a glimpse of which can be seen from the photographs of the new building attached in the tweet by the Railways. The new building will be of three storeys, in which arrangements will be made for the officers and employees to sit on a separate floor.
Along with a luxurious ticket counter at the station, a luxurious VIP lodge for the passengers to eat will be a part of this railway station. Along with this, parking for modern multi-level vehicles will be made and there will be a big waiting area for the passengers to sit.
Magnificent steel benches will be installed here for the passengers to sit and a new foot over bridge will also be built for the passengers at the station. A big rest room will also be available here for the passengers arriving here. Automatic tickets and vending machines will also be installed here. And these LED display boards will also be installed for information related to train movement.
It is clear that here the passengers will be provided with very convenient and pleasing facilities at the railway station. Along with this, RO water will also be made available for drinking to the passengers. For the safety of passengers, a large number of CCTV cameras will also be installed, which will keep an eye on every activity happening here. There is a plan to connect this rail complex with an electric bus also.
Talking about the redevelopment of the Ghaziabad Railway Station, Ghaziabad MP and Union Minister VK Singh said that the work will be completed on time for the people of Ghaziabad and the people of the city will get its benefit.
According to the information received from Union Minister VK Singh, the tender process of this railway station has also started. This three-storey railway station will be very modern and full of facilities. Ghaziabad is considered to be the gateway to Delhi and around 200 trains stop here at Ghaziabad Railway Station.
