Gandhinagar: Chief minister Bhupendra Patel on Monday held a high-level meeting with Union minister of state for railways Darshana Jardosh for smooth coordination of various railway-related projects concerning both central and state governments.
A CMO statement said, “While Gujarat is at the forefront in implementing PM Gati Shakti, this meeting will be beneficial in speedily resolving issues of the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) high-speed rail project, gauge conversion of various railway lines in the state, railway over bridges as well as electrification through mutual coordination”. Jarosh said she expects important railway projects in the state to be completed in a time-bound manner. Jarosh appreciated the fact that the acquisition of 98.7% of the land required for Ahmedabad-Mumbai High-Speed Rail in Gujarat has been completed. CM directed chief secretary Pankaj Kumar to set up an institutionalized system for resolving various issues related to the dedicated freight corridor. tnn
