Jaipur. The appearance of eight major railway stations, including Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur and the state’s second-largest city, Jodhpur, is going to change soon. Railways is going to equip these eight stations of Rajasthan with state-of-the-art facilities. These include Jodhpur, Jaipur, Gandhinagar Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Abu Road and Bikaner.
All these eight railway stations of Rajasthan will be redeveloped. Railways are working fast on this plan. About 150 stations are to be redeveloped all over the country including these eight stations in Rajasthan. The work of redevelopment of eight stations of Rajasthan will be taken up in the first phase of the scheme itself.
Recently, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, who was on a visit to Rajasthan to inaugurate the redeveloped building of Rai Ka Bagh Palace station in Suncity Jodhpur, had informed about this.
Vaishnav had told that the Railways will redevelop 8 stations in Rajasthan. These 8 stations of Marudhara are included in the list in which 150 stations are to be redeveloped across the country.
With this initiative of Railways, where tourism will get a boost in Rajasthan, passengers will also get world-class facilities. At the same time, Indian Railways is also working on a plan to connect more than 300 major cities of the country with high-speed corridors.
The new development work of the station to be redeveloped will be done as per green building standards including solar energy and energy efficiency equipment.
On the other hand, Railways is busy completing the proposed bullet train project between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
