Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Sunday waited for the train by sitting on a cement bench made on the platform of a station in Odisha. Although the officials had prepared the first-class waiting room for the railway minister, instead of waiting in the first-class waiting room after reaching the station, the railway minister preferred to sit on the cement bench on the platform. He said that where the common citizen of the country waits for the train, I will also do the same. During this, he met railway officials to gangmen and listened to their problems.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav is currently on a tour of Odisha. During this, he is reviewing various ongoing projects in Odisha, as well as inspecting the stations. On Sunday, the Railway Minister reached Balangir Railway Station in Odisha and after inspecting he was to return to Bhubaneswar by Puri Express. The officials had prepared the first-class waiting room so that if the Railway Minister had to wait for the train after the inspection, he could sit there and wait. After the inspection, the Railway Minister walked towards the cement bench lying in the open on the platform instead of the first-class waiting room.
Railway officials requested to walk towards the first class waiting room, but they said that where the common man of the country waits for the train, so will I. The Railway Minister sat on the bench and waited for the Puri Express. He was accompanied by two MPs, who sat together. During this, he met railway officials to gangmen and listened to their problems. Seeing the Railway Minister, a large number of passengers also gathered. He also learned from the passengers the experiences they had during their journey in the train.
